What Was Your Favorite Subject to Study in School?
Mathematics was one of my favorite subjects in
school. I had always felt a connection towards numbers and using them to solve
various problems. Puzzles had always kept me busy and I felt compelled to solve
them as much as I possibly could. I also had an affinity for computers. I loved
the idea of working at a busy computer workstation each day and providing top
results for whatever company would hire me.
Tell Us About Your First Job
I was hired as a marketing intern and consultant
as soon as I had graduated from college. This allowed me to gather tons of
important information regarding the intricacies of marketing as a whole. I
would offer marketing tips and advice to clients that were associated with me.
The scope of my work included extensive research on various marketing trends
that could be capitalized on. I admit that digital marketing is an incredibly
important component to any marketer. It is important to stay ahead of the curve
and educate yourself on the latest trends that marketers follow. You must
remain competitive in your endeavors if you wish to succeed.
How Do You Remain Motivated?
Many people look for motivation extrinsically.
They seek other’s approval and find solace only in the good times. You must
find value intrinsically if you wish to stay motivated. You must also enjoy the
work that you do. You will not find your work to be taxed if it is something
that you truly enjoy. Working with a team is another great way to motivate
yourself. A team can bring a vision to life and leave you feeling incredibly
fulfilled. Settings goals is another important key to remain motivated as well.
I would oftentimes create sales targets to help keep me focused whenever there
was a lot going on at once.
What Was Your Most Productive Day at Work Ever?
While I have had many successful days in the
industry, it is difficult to pinpoint an exact memory that stands out above
them all. However, I am incredibly excited about new trends that hit the
digital marketing industry recently. Viral marketing and mobile payments are
some of my favorite trends that I hope to continue in the future. Viral
marketing allows you to reach a wide variety of people utilizing a captivating
piece of content. It is an incredibly effective way of marketing that can reach
unknown audiences around the world. Technology has also allowed us to enhance
the way that we make payments with our mobile devices. Several large retailers
have embraced these trends and have used them to improve their checkout
processes.
How Has Local SEO Changed the Game?
It is incredible to witness the leaps and bounds
that local SEO has provided for local businesses. Dr. Farrior in Tampa, Florida
has risen to the top of the ladder when it comes to Google thanks to modern
marketing. Whenever someone searches for “plastic surgery in Tampa“, his
business appears at the top. This is a huge milestone for businesses like Dr.
Farrior who has embraced technology and utilized it to put himself ahead.
There are dozens of other businesses that have
benefited from utilizing SEO to boost themselves ahead of the game. Imagine how
easy it is to type “plastic surgery in Tampa” and see the results at
the top of the ladder. Many businesses are too stubborn to adapt to utilizing
digital marketing and will fall behind because of it.
How Has Digital Marketing Changed Competition Between Companies?
The thing about our generation is that we are
incredibly skeptical of brands that we do not initially trust. This means that
companies have to dump millions into their marketing campaigns to create the
perfect marketing tools. We have become skeptical of the sales pitch and avoid
it at all costs. Companies have adapted to this by providing personal and
to-the-point advertisements that can grab your attention within seconds. Most
companies compete for the prime-time spot on your news feed. I would say that
companies have become more competitive than they ever have before when it comes
to grabbing your attention.
