What do you do for work?

I am an actor and a producer.

Why did you choose to pursue a career in the field in which you currently work?

I wanted to become an actor since I was a child. Once I graduated from high school, I tried going the typical route and pursue higher education. Soon after, however, I realized that I did not enjoy my courses and most of my creativity was not utilized the right way. So, I decided to throw caution to the wind and try to become an actor. I am glad to say that making this decision was one of the best things that I did in my life.

In what way does your professional role make it possible for you to have a positive impact on others?

I think that some of my close friend and family have benefited from watching me do everything that I can to succeed. I made it much more acceptable for them to stand up and decide to do whatever it is that makes them happy. For instance, after witnessing me drop out of college and pursue what turned out to be a successful career, many of my friends gave up jobs that they were not happy with. Instead, they decided to follow their dreams and try to become the best version of themselves without conforming to the unwritten norms of society.

What do you do for recreation?

Well, the list is quite long. When it is nice outside, I enjoy going for a run or a walk. This is when I either spend some time with my thoughts by letting them take me far away from my current endeavors or I engage in good conversations with those that I go with. If the weather is not as pleasant, I enjoy staying inside and reading. Over the past few years, I made it a priority to read no less than one book per month. Doing so has truly helped me learn to appreciate other cultures as well as improve some of my non-verbal skills. Ultimately, I like to spend time relaxing by watching a movie or a TV show.

What is your history with Australia?

Australia has become one of the bucket-list destinations that I plan to visit one day. Thus far, I have not had a chance to explore it. In the future, however, I am determined to organize a journey that will take me there for a few weeks.

Aussie rules football, cricket, rugby or something else?

All of the above!

Is there an Australian you admire or who has had a profound influence on you personally or professionally?

Definitely! The prime example would be Hugh Jackman. Given that I am an actor myself, I always look for people whose careers are the epitome of success, dedication, and creativity. Well, Hugh achieved something unbelievable with all of his performances. I am also a huge fan of Heath Ledger who was an Oscar recipient for his role in “The Dark Knight.” Unfortunately, his story is a tragic one as he passed away when he was very young. Regardless, he is another influential Australian actor that has motivated millions of people like me to pursue this particular career.

What advice would you give to a first-time visitor to Australia?

Well, based on some of the research that I have conducted about this topic, I would advise them to learn as much as possible about Australia. Many people fail to realize just how large this country is. For those unfamiliar, it is the sixth largest in the world and spreads over more land than any individual country in the European Union. So, I think that every trip should be carefully planned as it will be impossible to view all of the major attractions in one visit. Unless, of course, the person has a few months to spare and wants to dedicate them all to the Land Down Under!
